Adivasi Resource Centre (ARC) |
|
In June 2008, NCAS initiated the Adivasi Resource Centre (ARC). The objectives of the ARC are to bridge the information gap between adivasi and governance issues, create a space for dialogue and interface between legislators and civil society on adivasi issues, and to mainstream these issues within a rights-based approach. The ARC works at both the union and state levels in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Odisha, operating from Delhi, Pune, Raipur and Bhubaneshwar respectively. The ARC strives to generate knowledge resources and information from an adivasi perspective on issues of governance, institutions, programmes, policies and basic rights. Through over 20 publications, 10 consultative meetings, capacity building workshops and networking with over 200 organisations, the ARC seeks to contribute to improved articulation and politicization of concerns and opinions of the adivasi constituency.
