Bhim Raskar  is the Programme Director of the Resource and Support Centre for Development (RSCD) and works to mentor organization building and policy advocacy in Maharashtra. He is closely involved in drought prevention and women’s governance, specifically at the panchayat level. He also serves as committee member of the State Mentoring Committee, NRHM and High Court Committee to prevent child death due to malnutrition.

 

Dr. Sanjib Sikidar  is a founding member and President of the Deshabandu Club.  Involved with social activism since 1965, Dr. Sikidar graduated from Silchar Medical College in 1981. In addition to his work with the Deshabandu Club, Dr. Sikidar is an E.B. member of WAPR, Developing Initiatives for Social and Human Action (DISHA), and the Parents Association of the Disabled.

 

Adv. Eknath Dagadu Awad is an activist campaigning for the rights of Dalits and tribal people. Raised by parents who served as bonded labourers, Awad grew up to be extremely sensitive to the cause of bonded labour and was actively involved in the campaign against bonded labour through his organisation Campaign for Human Rights. With thirty years of experience to his credit, he has been on the founding committee of organizations such as the Rural Development Centre and Right to Land in Maharashtra. Awad has mobilised a financial set up for the empowerment of Dalit and tribal women.

Jagadananda is a social activist and working for the development of tribal and rural poor in Orissa through people-centred initiatives.  He has been leading CYSD for the last 25 years. In July 2008, Jagadananda was nominated as the Orissa State Information Commissioner to advance the Right to Information agenda in the State.
