Anuradha Rao has worked in the non-profit sector for
over 25 years.  She was the founding Executive Director
of the Consumer Action Group and the International
Women’s Rights Action Watch. Her key areas of expertise
include:  women’s rights, consumer rights, governance,
advocacy skills, and capacity building support.

 

                      Dr. Nirmala Pandit is a Managing Trustee of The Nav Maharashtra Community Foundation (NAVAM). She was the first Executive Director of NCAS, Pune. She worked as a Legal Officer for Asia Pacific in the International Commission of Jurist and also served as a Special Advisor to the High Commissioner of Human Rights on Trafficking at the UNHCHR.

John Samuel is the Head of Global Programmes on
Democratic Governance Assessments and Global
Democratic Governance Adviser at the UNDP
Headquarters in New York and at the Oslo Governance
Centre. He was formerly the International Director of ActionAid and the Executive Director of the NCAS.
Samuel has a multi-disciplinary academic background
and around 25 years of experience in strengthening democratic governance, human rights advocacy and sustainable development in India, Asia and internationally. He has helped to initiate and establish several advocacy and research organizations and civil society alliances in India and abroad, including Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability, Social Watch, Asia Media Forum  and Global Call to Action against Poverty.
 
 

Josantony Joseph is Advisor (Maharashtra) to the Supreme Court Commissioner on Food Security. He was instrumental in setting up the National Centre for Advocacy Studies in India. His books cover a wide range of issues, including GM foods and biopatenting, Ethics, and the PCPNDT Act in India. He works as a resource person in India and abroad. His past appointments have included being CEO of APHD, Hong Kong, and Director, West Zone, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, GOI.
