This resource book contains four inspiring case stories of people’s struggles in four countries of south Asia that provide various ideas and insights for organising and mobilising people in advocacy. It is a product of the collective effort of over 25 committed activists and experts from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal and India that attempts to build knowledge and draw out a perspective for people centred advocacy in south Asia. ‘Organising and Mobilising’ are understood as the processes that build collective strength of the marginalised to challenge oppressive power structures.

 Stories of struggles of  fisherfolk against the sale of islands in Pakistan, the campaign against hazards of ship-breaking industry in Bangaldesh, the anti-SEZ campaign in India and campaign for prevention of child abuse in Afghanistan form the heart of this book. As a resource book, it throws up several ideas and strategies for campaigning and networking in south Asian countries and for collective advocacy effort at the region.
