People Centred Advocacy is an advocacy method pioneered by NCAS for the empowerment of people and the realisation of their rights. By empowering people to advocate on their own behalf, NCAS engages People Centred Advocacy as an effective and sustainable approach to advocacy initiatives throughout India and South Asia.

NCAS recognizes the need to provide people with knowledge of the social justice issues that they seek to address. By researching contentious issues in India, NCAS provides the needed publications to educate future activists on issues related to human rights.
Through workshops, consultations, and conferences, NCAS works to teach social justice organizations and members of civil society the necessary skills and tactics to pursue advocacy projects.

NCAS believes that advocacy efforts appear is many different shapes and forms. Using various mediums, including film and dance, NCAS seeks to use media as an alternative advocacy method to raise awareness concerning social justice issues.
Working within the community, often with grassroots advocacy initiatives, campaign support is NCAS’ way of demonstrating solidarity with human rights advocates throughout India.

In order to train future advocates and spread awareness of social justice issues in India, the Advocacy Internship Program at NCAS is designed to empower young advocates with the necessary skills to pursue careers in social justice advocacy.
