President:: She is an Indian political and social activist. She served as a civil servant in the Indian Administrative Service from 1968-1974. In 1990 she founded Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathana, and did pioneering work in the enactment of “Right to Information Act”. Ramon Magsaysay Award in Community Leadership was conferred on her in 2000. |

Vice-President:: She is founder-associate director of ACCORD, an organisation that works with the tribals of Gudalur, Tamil Nadu. She is a frequent contributor to The Hindu and Frontline and was a columnist for New Internationalist, UK . Her articles have also appeared in the Economic and Political Weekly and other leading publications. She is the author of Endless Filth, a book on the safai kamdars of Gujarat , published by Books for Change. She was commissioned by the Directory of Social Change, UK , to do a study of poverty and development in the United Kingdom. |

Secretary:: A researcher and writer on development issues and social change for over a decade, he is associated with a number of national and international development agencies. With an extensive network of contacts in the fields of activism and development research, he is a well-known and active player in the development world. He has trained over 3,500 activists in India . His special expertise is in the field of strategic communications, information management and policy research. He was a former International Director of ActionAid, and former director of the National Centre for Advocacy Studies, Pune.
He currently works with UNDP as its Democratic Democracy Advisor, Norway. |
